Siebert and Abram have different opinion. Siebert believes that human can understand elephants' perspectives because both animals and humans share the same basic set of emotional qualities and thought processes. However, abram does not have same opinion with Siebert. He explains that " We cannot knowm with the same familiarity and intimacy the lived experience of a grass snake or a snapping turtle...never wholly fathomable"(Abram10-11). He believes that humans cannot be familar with elephants.
