Evans and Nash
Estwick Evans and Roderick Nash both discuss that humans want to escape from their busy society because it is complicated and unfair that have many rules that they cannot have freedom.Nash illustrates that "more correct views of human nature and of the true interests of man." He points out that the nature can be a perfect place to escape from this world and find their life. Also, Nash states that "Wilderness appealed to those bored and disgusted with man and his works. It not only offered an escape from the society but also was an ideal stage for the Romantic individual to exercise the cult that he frequently made of his own soul." Nash explains that the wilderness can be a place for "Romantic individual" that they can escape from society. In the wilderness, there will be no rules that humans can obtain freedom and happiness. Both authors tell that they are able to find true meaning of life.
