This seems to be a continuation of how we need to reverse this backwards idea of forcing everything to fit into a human form or shape. Maybe we as humans need to start thinking and trying to fit ourselves into other forms. We are not the cookie cutter model that all cultures human or animal need to conform to. We need to stop rolling out the cookie dough and stamping little human figures and removing everything that doesn't fit into that little model.
Lol, I like the reference to the cookie cutter. I agree how many people are truly anthropocentric and need to start thinking from other points of view.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed how you compared human beings to a cookie cutter and how they try to shape things in their image. That was a very clever comparison, but you are also right regarding that we as humans beings needed to be less antropocentric and see through the eyes of others such as elephants. This was a very good analysis of what Siebert was trying to say through his essay.
ReplyDeleteI like the imagery of the cookie cutter too. It's a good way to visualize exactly what Siebert was trying to convey in his essay. Oh no, now you've made me hungry!
